Digital Nomad Visa

The Colombian Digital Nomad Visa gives travelers a means to live in Colombia for up to two years while continuing to work online in their home countries. The Colombian Digital Nomad Visa is relatively easy to obtain compared to most equivalent digital nomad visas in Asia and Europe, as the income threshold is much lower and other requirements much easier to meet - all part of the Colombian government’s recent push to put Colombia squarely on the digital nomad trail.

Requirements

• Passport Data Page

• Passport page with last entry stamp into Colombia

• Passport-style Photo on a white background

• Proof of monthly income equal to 3 Colombian minimum wages - currently 3,900,000 COP

• Letter from an employer, company you freelance for, or letter explaining your ownership in a company, if self-employed, in English or Spanish

• Comprehensive insurance

The supporting documents submitted must not exceed 5MB in total.

Duration

• Up to 2 years

Government Visa Fee

Roughly $55 USD to apply, Roughly $171 USD for the Visa (the Colombian Foreign Affairs Ministry quotes in USD for stability)

Notes

• This visa allows you to petition for dependent spouse and children as beneficiaries

• This visa will not count toward accrued time for Colombian Residency
